Killing Cancer Cells

BCPO (β-caryophyllene oxide) is cytotoxic against cervical cancer cells[Jun_2011][Ambrož_2015]. BCPO has also improved the cytotoxicity of doxorubicin for cancer cells while decreasing its toxicity for normal cells[Ambrož_2015]. 

Linalool is cytotoxic against cervical cancer cells[Chern_2007][Chang_2015]. So are α-terpineol, eucalyptol, and 4-terpineol[Anti_2014]. The flavonoid apigenin induces apoptosis and cell cycle arrest against some forms of cervical cancer cells[Zhen_2005].

Preventing Angiogenesis

β-Eudesmol has inhibited angiogenesis in human cervical cancer cells[Ma_2008]. 

Inhibiting Invasion and Metastasis

CBD inhibits invasion and metastasis in human cervical cancer[Ramer_2009][Ramer_2010][Ramer_2011].

Apigenin inhibits the motility and invasiveness of cervical cancer cells[Czyz_2005].
